Justin Bieber Meets Teen Fan, Helps Obama Keep His Word

Most Justin Bieber fans resort to mob mentality to get close to their heart-throb, but 14-year-old Payton Wall's patriotic approach -- detailing her love for the Biebs in a 1,500-word email to the president -- paid off on Friday, when she got to sit down with Bieber at Macy's in New York.

In an email to the White House, the New Jersey teen had written that watching the singer's documentary, "Never Say Never" inspired her "to believe in ourselves and share our story to encourage others," the New York Post reported.

Obama read the heartfelt story in May and invited Wall and her family to meet with him when he visited Ground Zero, which they did.

During their meeting, Obama reportedly told Wall, "I know Justin … maybe I could set something up." News outlets including the political blog the Daily Intel seized on the potential of an unfulfilled presidential promise, intimating that even Obama wouldn't get access to the boy wonder.
An Obama fan himself, Bieber caught wind of the situation and chimed in, tweeting, "I think you're wrong. pretty sure President @BarackObama will keep this promise."

Finally Friday, Wall, her 12-year-old sister Avery and her best friend had their wish granted during a perfume promotion in Herald Square.
"It was so cool. I couldn't even believe it," Wall told the Post. "He just said 'Hi.' He was asking us about the perfume and if we were wearing it."
Her younger sister described Bieber as "really nice" and "so cute," noting that, "he didn't even look real."

The girls carried a life-size cardboard cutout of Obama, and posed for pictures with Bieber and the 2-D president.

They later shared the experience on Facebook and Twitter, posting photos from the event. Wall, whose love for the Biebs apparently made her forget that it was Obama's involvement that snagged her the meeting, promptly tweeted "just want to say thanks to @justinbieber for taking the time to meet me!"
Prior to contacting the White House, she had reached out to Bieber on Twitter, asking if she could share her "awful life story" in a letter. She got no reply.
