Ludacris Denies Writing Rap For Bieber

Ludacris has denied reports suggesting he was asked to write a rap to help Justin Bieber land a spot in a group freestyle performance at the Bet Hip-Hop Awards.

The awards ceremony is famous for its pre-recorded musical segments, known as cyphers, which this year (11) was presented by DJ Premier and featured rappers Eminem, Busta Rhymes, Ludacris and B.o.B., as well as a rhyming Chris Brown.

Earlier this week (begs17Oct11), Premier revealed there was one eager participant he was forced to reject when putting together the rap posse - because the Baby hitmaker wasn't expected to pen his own lyrics.

The producer said, "Justin Bieber even asked if he could do the cypher... But, then we heard, 'He wants Luda to write his rhyme.' I was like, 'Oh, no, no, no, no, no.' If you ain't (sic) writing your own rhyme, you can't do it."

However, Ludacris has now reached out to Premier to clear up the rumours, insisting he was never approached to help Bieber with his punchlines.

In a Twitter.com post, the rapper writes, "My Lil homie @justinbieber loves hip hop & at no point was I supposed to write his cypher flow. #getyafactsright"

And Premier has thanked Ludacris for setting the record straight.

He tweets, "Spoke 2 (sic) @Ludacris & he witnessed Justin Beiber (sic) write his rhymes & that he can flow... He said he wasn't s'posed (supposed) to write 4 tha (for the) Cypher... So shout to @Ludacris for givin' me the correct info."

The Bet Hip-Hop Awards took place in Atlanta, Georgia on 1 October (11).

Justin Bieber Leads Team Bieber to Victory Over Team Luda

Proudly showing off his on-court prowess, Justin Bieber took to Atlanta, Georgia to hoop it up in the LudaDay Celebrity Basketball Game 2011 on Sunday afternoon (September 4).

With the Ludacris hosted charity matchup taking place at the Morehouse Forbes Arena, the "One Time" hitmaker captained a squad appropriately named "Team Bieber" while taking on Team Luda during the Peach State b-ball action.
Talking plenty of smack prior to game time, Justin tweeted the day before tipoff, "#TEAMBIEBER is goin hard on sunday in ATL. #LUDADAYWEEKEND. Victory is the only outcome! WHO IS COMING?! #charity"

Later in the night, the 17-year-old sensation wrote, "finished in the studio for the night. did something real special for u. now heading to ATL for this bball game btw #TEAMBIEBER and #TeamLuda"
Backing up his proclamation, Ludacris fessed up that Team Bieber emerged victorious by posting a message reading, "FINAL SCORE 134-132 TEAM BIEBER.FUN GAME.SPECIAL SHOUTS TO KEVIN DURANT, CARMELLO,CP3,JOHN WALL & JUSTIN BIEBER HIMSELF.$10K TO CHARITY!"

Along with the LudaDay doings, Justin also posted a video of himself copying NBA point guard Steve Nash's crossover move while girlfriend Selena Gomez cheered him on (watch above), with which he tweeted, "hold up though...is that the REAL @SteveNash - yes...yes it is...#crossover. @ludacris we comin 4 u! #TEAMBIEBER"

Justin Bieber and Ludacris Trade Twitter Barbs About Charity Basketball Game

Justin Bieber's typically a polite, well-mannered 17-year-old who doesn't swear, but he was talking all sorts of trash on Twitter today. Why? Well, he's going head-to-head against Ludacris for a charity basketball game in Atlanta this weekend and the stakes are high. Plus, it's good press.

The Bieb tweeted six times in a row today about the Ludaday Weekend Celebrity Basketball Game and each post punked his rapper pal. One tweet read: "@Ludacris u are a good man...but #teambieber is gonna kill u on sunday."
Ludacris wrote back: "In your Dreams! U gon get a spankin on Sunday!!"
The teen star also provided some videoevidence of his intimidating basketball skillz from February's Celebrity All-Star Game. Bieber called the video "a reminder of the last rapper that challenged me on the court." The singer was named MVP of that tournament and even the announcer applauded Biebs for "looking like Steve Nash" when he made a sweet cross-over assist.
This weekend's complete team rosters haven't been released, but you can expect a slew of big stars will be shooting hoops Sunday. Bieber tweeted that NBA player Kevin Durant is on his team, and added pros Carmelo Anthony, Allen Iverson, and Chris Paul will all be tearing it up on the courts -- and towering over the 5 foot 5 teen.
