Justin Bieber a marketing disaster when left on his own?

Justin Bieber appears to know as much about women's fragrances as a prima ballerina would know about being a lumberjack. When Bieber recently needed to make a few comments about his new woman's fragrance, he really could not find the right words.

The mega pop star looks really pulled together in his new fragrance commercial, but take the scripts and teleprompters away, this becomes another story all together.

On Friday, while he was out promoting his fragrance, Justin needed to talk about his new perfume and he did, to the best of his ability and right off the cuff, according to Styleite. Bieber started to stumble as soon as he opened his mouth:

"I just think that, um, what we decided to do — making the fragrance for females, and you know, not getting a cologne for males — I just think that, you know, I said it before and I'll say it again, I'm more concerned about how, how girls smell. So, yeah, 'cause I'm a guy, and I know what smells good, and I know what I like. So I think that's what females, you know, what girls should know is that if he likes it, then, you know, other guys are gonna like it. So, yeah."

A kid this age isn't expected know about a woman's fragrance, so it was refreshing to see that he is just a normal 17-year-old kid. This could be a marketing nightmare for the company who has Bieber promoting "Someday," but chances are they will take it as funny and endearing to see him make such an effort. He tried to sound very much on top of things, but this didn't work.

While his face, popularity with the young girls, and his name on the bottle are enough to sell a fragrance no matter how it smells, he is still out promoting this product in the stores. It might help if someone went over a few lines with him if he gets in this predicament again.
