Cheryl Cole has just confirmed that she spent last night with Justin Bieber.

Don’t panic, Justin has ditched Selena Gomez for an older model. Ms Cole was infact snuggled up on her sofa watching Justin’s movie Never Say Never – the perfect night in ladies?

The singer was so impressed with Justin’s performance, she took to Twitter to praise the 17 year old.

Chezza Tweeted: “I know I'm a bit late in the day but I have just watched @justinbieber Never Say Never..

“It just confirmed everything I always thought.. This kid was born a star!!”

The Tweet is sure to delight the Canadian star, who was previously quoted in The Sun as saying: "Cheryl Cole and Katy Perry are two of the hottest girls in the world - and so normal and funny with it.

"If I was a few years older they are the kind of girls I'd like to date.

"I want a younger version of Cheryl and Katy - a mixture of the two would be hot.”

Cheeky Justin even stole a kiss from Cheryl at the BRIT awards earlier this year. Well you can't blame a boy for trying.

Justin Bieber Remembers 9/11

Justin Bieber is the latest star to pay tribute and remember the terrorists acts of 9/11. On this ten-year anniversary, many are taking to Facebook and Twitter to pay respects and share memories. Certainly a great way to use the social media sites and help the grieving process that 9/11 caused for many.

Justin Bieber tweeted his fans saying "as a canadian we too remember 9-11. i was just a kid and remember it well. today we honor the memory of those lost and move forward together." He then followed up with another tweet saying "God Bless" and one saying RIP to those lost on the tragic day. It's nice to see young stars like Bieber paying their respects, even if they were young when the tragedy happened. It's very important for all ages to remember and share.

Demi Lovato also took to her Facebook page to remember 9/11. She asked fans to comment with their memories and thus far around 300 have joined her on the page. Again, these two are really stepping up and proving themselves to be role models and inspirations.

Justin Bieber is defending Will Smith and Jada Pinkett's marriage. In the midst of the media maelström, the teen sensation has come forward to say his piece about the situation. While he didn't go in-depth, his tweet reassured many people that Will and Jada are doing just fine.

"Will and Jada are one of the best couples ever. #FACT #real (sic)," Bieber tweeted. The thing with situations like this is that people on the "outside" don't know what is really going on "inside" the marriage. Rumors have been flying that Will caught Jada in bed with Marc Anthony—would Justin Bieber know about that? Of course not.

It's great that so many people have stuck up for Will and Jada, but the rumors have yet to stop. It definitely makes you wonder what's really going on and if these two are just putting on a show for the cameras. The Bieb definitely has an impressive number of Twitter followers, but he doesn't have the MOST. Lady Gaga holds that title, with 12,789,352 as of this instant. Still, the Bieb is close! These two have battled continuously for the top spot, and it's likely to change at any time.

In other Bieber news, he's apparently heading to Kim Kardashian's wedding this morning and we all want to know if he'll be bringing his gal Selena Gomez. The reality star apparently had to tell guests they weren't allowed to bring plus-ones because of space restrictions, so we wonder if she got an invite of her own -- or the Bieb's plus-one is an exception. We'll find out this weekend...

With Justin's "fan cut" of Never Say Never hitting stores on August 23, exclusively at Target, it is not much of a surprise that he is keeping it real with his fans. These are the nearly 12 million followers on Twitter and countless millions of viewers watching him on YouTube.

These same fans fuel his Tumblr blog devoted to the just fans and the zillion girls that made his perfume the best-selling celebrity fragrance of the year. These same fans vote him for Teen Choice awards, sell out his shows, and create flash mobs wherever he seems to go. These same fans made him famous enough to date Selena Gomez.

How could Justin Bieber even begin to forget his fans, as they are seemingly there at every turn? The important part here is to the "always show love" part. One thing is for sure, at least at this point, is that Justin is constantly giving shout-outs to his fans, featuring his fans, and trying to stay close to his fans.

Bieber-fever may never have been hotter than now. Justin continues to have fun riding this wave...the fun coming from the fans that put him on the surfboard, or at least voted to give him one at the Teen Choice Awards.

Lauren Alaina to Justin Bieber: 'Thanks for making me feel cool'

American Idol's Lauren Alaina has revealed her excitement at discovering Justin Bieber follows her on Twitter. 

Alaina, who finished runner-up on the tenth season of American Idol, currently has more than 200,000 followers on the social networking site. 

Writing on her account today, she said: "I just realised @justinbieber follows me. Not gonna lie, thought it was pretty awesome #belieber thanks Justin for making me feel cool haha."

Alaina met Bieber at the Country Music Television Awards in June, where she presented the 'Duo Video of the Year' prize alongside American Idol winner Scotty McCreery.

She later revealed that she had been attempting to hide a rip in her dress during their conversation, but said: "It was cool just to meet him. Everyone wants to meet Justin Bieber and I got to do it, so it was really nice."

Alaina is currently on the American Idols Live! tour alongside the rest of this season's Top 11 contestants, including McCreery, Pia Toscano, James Durbin and Haley Reinhart. 

Her debut single 'Like My Mother Does', which she performed on the American Idol finale, entered the Billboard Hot 100 at number 20 back in June.

With the east coast currently suffering a heat wave, or “heatpocalypse”, where high temperatures are breaking records, people have started to vent on Twitter. So many people are tweeting their comments about the heat wave that the topic is receiving 4 “heat tweets” to every one Justin Bieber tweet.

The king of Twitter, Justin Bieber has been a constant trending topic on the micro blogging site for the past year. Although Bieber is ever-present, top twitter trends have diverted from the seventeen-year-old heartthrob recently. Users are tweeting tips to beat the heat, and discussing both “heat domes” and “sweat ceilings” in lieu of the current heat wave.

Over half of the U.S. is under weather advisory for triple-digit Fahrenheit heat temperatures that continue to hit the 34 states.

“We’ve put out a forecast including heat alerts, advisories and excessive heat warnings for all or part of 29 states and DC, from northern Texas to Maine,” National Weather Service spokesperson Chris Vaccaro told AFP Friday.

Typically cooler states have not escaped the dangerous heat, and people who live there are unaccustomed to such high temperatures.

“Right now, in Portland, Maine, it is 89 degrees (32 Celsius) and it feels like 100,” Vaccaro said.

Katy Perry stood with a life-size cut-out of Justin Bieber not to long ago, calling him “her adopted son.” While Rhianna and Katy are by no means old, they are much older than the teen crooner they seem to be gravitating to. Justin’s fans cannot forget Kim Kardashian’s crush on their heart -throb that spawned tons of threats towards the reality show star.

Is Justin the new “boy-toy” icon among the celebrity divas, who seem to find him appealing? This is evident with Rhianna’s recent picture, which comes along with no explanation as to why she felt compiled to slither up next to Bieber’s picture and give it a kiss? Could all this attention be working on Selena Gomez, Bieber’s main girl? Justin Bieber Takes A Picture Of Traffic, Instagram Usage Explodes

A few minutes ago, the Instagram team noticed their servers blowing up. What happened? Were they under attack? DDoS? No.

Bieber happened.

Yes, Justin Bieber just signed up for Instagram. And he tweeted out his first picture to his 11 million+ followers. The result? Boom.

After I saw the tweet, I reached out to Instagram co-founder Kevin Systrom, and he confirmed the massive influx as a result of Bieber. He us Bieber is gaining about 50 followers a minute at this point. All thanks to one picture. Of traffic. It has 234 likes already. And that number is also rapidly growing. Systrom says he’s also getting one comment every 10 seconds or so. These numbers are unprecedented for the already popular photo-sharing service.

Celebrities on Instagram is nothing new — Snoop Dogg is a long-time user, for example. But Bieber is known for his cult-like following, especially on Twitter. His usage could really lead to another sign-up surge for Instagram. Instagram is just shy of 7 million users right now. And they were growing fast before Bieber — last month they hit 5 million users.

Most importantly for Instagram, they didn’t reach out to Bieber to get him using the service. This isn’t some publicity stunt. He’s just using it because he heard about it and decided to check it out. That’s the kind of publicity money can buy, but it hasn’t here.

Justin Bieber scam alleges star will follow you on Twitter

A clever new scam is putting Justin Bieber's legions of Twitter followers in danger of losing cash — and a little bit of pride.

Spotted by researchers at the security firm Sophos, the cybercrime ploy targets Bieber's more than 11 million Twitter followers with a message alleging that Bieber will follow your tweets on the social media site, provided you follow the scammers' instructions. 

Cybercriminals have repeatedly manipulated Bieber's name and popularity in the past; one such scam even claimed to have exclusive video of the tween pop star hitting a girl.

This particular hoax hits a little harder, however, in that it's rigged to make Bieber's fans actually believe the star wants to shine the spotlight on them instead of the other way around.

The scam message comes with a link that, when clicked, takes users to an IQ test. All you have to do to get Bieber to follow you on Twitter is complete the test and enter your new score into the password box.

Of course it's never this easy — or safe. After finishing the IQ test, the scam then lures eager Bieber fans into handing over their cellphone numbers, which then automatically signs them up for a premium-rate text messaging service.

If you come across this message, or any suspicious offers on Twitter or Facebook, ignore it. And never fill out any surveys; they almost always lead to trouble.

Justin Bieber Reaches 10,000 Tweets

Justin Bieber has collected so many awards, set and or broken so many records, and achieved so many firsts. But that doesn't mean there isn't room for one more. On July 20 at approximately 3:00 A.M., he acquired yet another. The Biebs has reached 10,000 Tweets.

Yes, it seems that Justin Bieber is not only the Prince of Pop, he's also the prince of Twitter. Not only can he boast more Twitter followers than any other celebrity except Lady Gaga, he can now boast that he's sent 10,000 Tweets. Well, more than 10,000 actually, because as soon as JB learned that he'd reached the 10,000 mark, he immediately took to his Twitter page to inform his fans and to express his appreciation for their continuing love and devotion.

"10,000 tweets," wrote Justin, "10,000 times to connect directly with my fans. 10,000 times to let them know how much I appreciate them.

Later he added: "and this is the start of 10,000 more to come to show that that will never change. #ilovemyfans #ThankYou myfans=SWAG #grateful #nsn

Earlier this year, during his My World Tour, Justin Bieber announced that he would take a break from Twitter to spend more time with his family. That announcement caused a panic throughout belieberdom, and he was back on the social network site in a couple of days. Guess he couldn't bear to be out of touch with his fans any more than they could stand being out of touch with him.

Now that she's all better and back to her high-energy healthy self, Taylor Swift is back at the touring thing. In a big way. So when she was in Canada over the weekend, she naturally threw a Justin Bieber song into her medley of songs from Canadian musicians. She did Alanis Morissette's "You Learn," Tal Bachman's "She's So High" and Bieber's "Baby." And once he heard the news, he took to Twitter to thank her for the love, saying,

"heard you sang BABY at your concert in TO. thank u for the love ... might have to come by and stop in on a show."

I think he should. He should definitely come to a Taylor Swift show. Preferably one of her Chicago dates in early August. So then if they sang together, I'd be there. Couldn't you hear them dueting on Swift's "Forever and Always" or "The Story of Us" or on Bieber's "One Less Lonely Girl" or "Never Say Never"? Swift would make Beliebers out of all her fans.

Justin Bieber has become one of the first people to pass 11 Million followers on Twitter.

The 17-year-old reached the enormous amount of followers this week, making him No. 2 on the list of most followed celebrities, one place ahead of US President Barack Obama, proving that he may well be the most powerful man in the world. Yet despite his huge following, Justin is still behind the Queen of Pop, Lady Gaga.

Posting a message to his followers, Justin said: "#11MillionBeliebers! I LOVE YOU ALL!! THANK YOU....tonight was already a fun great night and now it is even better. THANK U THANK U THANK U"

Earlier this week, the Biebster sparked debate about his relationship with Selena Gomez after posting on Twitter: "I'm not sayin your the one girl, I'm just here to have fun girl," causing many people to think that things aren't serious between him and the former Disney star.

However, we think he may be kidding, as we saw earlier today, Justin is reportedly insecure in his relationship.

Justin Bieber Tweets Help Javier Colon Win 'The Voice'

Thanks in part to Justin Bieber, Javier Colon is now $100,000 richer and the proud possessor of a Universal Records contract. Those are the prizes Javier won by beating out Dia Frampton on The Voice. It was a close competition, and Colon admits that the Teen Dream probably helped push him over the top.

Before the show, Justin Bieber posted the following Tweet:

"@adamlevine got u. #supportyourfriends."

The Biebs followed it up with a message about his new Google chrome commercial to which he added another mention of his friend, Adam Levine, who also happens to be Javier Colon's coach.

"check out @NBCTheVoice tonight at 8PM EST to see our new #KIDRAUHL commercial with @googlechrome" JB Tweeted, "– and maybe support @adamlevine"

Justin's third Tweet once again mentioned Adam Levine.

When asked if he thought Justin Bieber might have been instrumental in helping him win The Voice by a 2 percent margin, Javier Colon replied:

Justin very well may have. He sent out a tweet to all of his people, and we won by two percent. I don't know how many of them voted or how many of them just maybe followed me on twitter. But I'm thankful to everyone who lent their support, who told their folks to give me a chance.

Interestingly, when asked if he would like to someday duet with the Teen Dream, Colon replied:

On June 28 Google Chrome launched a video featuring Justin Bieber, followed by a Chrome theme bearing the likeness of the young pop star on June 29. Since these launches, the brand has gained nearly 10,000 new Twitter followers.

The video Google Chrome: Justin Bieber features the young Canadian heartthrob tracking his rise to fame using Google Chrome tools; since being uploaded on June 28 the video has been watched over 100,000 times.

A link below the video takes viewers to a Chrome theme featuring Justin Bieber in profile wearing a silver jacket and microphone headset; the theme was released June 29.

Themes are backgrounds for the browser; other examples of themes include "Mariah Carey," "Vivienne Westwood" and "Porsche."

The launch of the video and the site were broadcast via the Twitter account of Google Chrome (@googlechrome) with the hashtag #thewebiswhatyoumakeofit.

Data from social media monitoring site Fanpagelist shows that since June 28 the number of Twitter fans of Google Chrome has increased by 10,684, making it one of the brands with the biggest daily increase in followers as of 4pm GMT June 30.

While Google also began launching its social networking service Google+ on June 28, this was announced on Twitter via the official Google account (@google) and though re-tweeted on the Chrome account was more likely to have driven traffic to the original source.

How Justin Bieber's tween tweets rule the Internet

(CBS/What's Trending) - Oh, Bieber, Bieber, Bieber. We know, we know - why are we talking about this? Because Bieber's social media machine dominates the Internet. Fans do not get more enthusiastic about anyone other than JB. These fans are the people who create the trends online. Here's how tweets from the likes of @BieberLuvr94 and @Biebz4eva can grow into full-blown hysteria.

If you've seen the headlines lately, they have been full of "Justin Bieber death threats" from fans to people daring to offend the Biebs. Last week, Justin was "attacked" by a crazed fan that ended up being undercover police officer, Tom  Petterson or Patterson or Peterson, (all variations of the name have received death threats) trying to help him out. Before fans figured that out there were thousands of future Mrs. Bieber's ready to show this "crazed fan" a thing or two and it began online. 

As soon as they had a name, fans searched far and wide to find this man and anyone named Tom Petterson was bound to receive something from an upset fan. The irate tweets, emails, messages, and more that Tom Pettersons across the world received were enough to startle even other Bieber fans that didn't participate. His name was trending nationwide on Twitter the day of the "attack." Internet curators Buzzfeed even put together a list of the craziest tweets seen from fans. This isn't the first time fans have gone after someone that upset their precious JB and it probably won't be the last.

The online posse Bieber has is not to be taken lightly. We all joke about it, but these fans mean business. The overwhelming amount of people with Bieber-related Twitter names, that change their Facebook names to relate, the groups they start, the other fans they reach - no tween has been able to have this power with the star they love until now. 

Boy bands in the past remained in their own groups, message boards, fan clubs, etc. but now with the ability to take fan concerns straight to public's eyes and ears give the Bieber Nation a voice never before possible. With a Klout score of 100 (essentially the highest "credit score" you can have online), his 10 million + followers on Twitter, and the second most active page on Facebook (#1 belonging to Jesus Daily), Bieber fans will be heard.
