Justin Bieber will be on stage Thursday night accepting the
award for his contributions to the community. The entertainer is part of the
VH1 Do Something Awards airing Thursday and received an award for his actions
that make a difference.
While the typical award show is expected to bring a thankful
moment where people can say a few words to the fans, Bieber’s speech is
anything but typical. Sharing a fact that not everyone takes him seriously, he
addresses the issue with the audience and shares something he has never readily
admitted on stage before.
“I know some people don't take me seriously because I am so
young, but I am able to make a change," said Justin Bieber. “I want to say
thank you to the young people and the old people too I guess."
Justin Bieber got a roaring response to the remarks, but it
wasn’t just because it was funny as many of the teenagers in the crowd
understood not being taken seriously. With extraordinary pressures of the
younger years, most teens and tweens don’t feel that adults even remotely take
them seriously in any capacity. Connecting with the superstar, there was a
moment of bonding between the celebrity and his fans.
