Pop superstar Justin Bieber has a rather unique connection to the upcoming American adaptation of "The X Factor" -- and, it has nothing to do with Simon Cowell.
On Wednesday, the singer posted a brief message on Twitter ancouraging everyone to check out the preview for the show debuting on Fox this fall specifically due to the presence of L.A. Reid -- who he refers to as the guy "in the sunglasses" during his "Never Say Never" movie. In reality, Reid was the chairman if Island Def Jam at the time inwhichJustin came on board via his mentor Usher and manager Scooter Braun. (Reid has since moved on to become the new head of Epic thanks to his decision to appear on the show.)
In addition to Reid and Cowell, the other two members of the panel include Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul. While Simon and Justin did meet on the British version of the show, there is some question as to whether or not Justin is altogether pleased with his "crush" Cheryl Cole no longer being on the panel.
