Justin Bieber's 'Date' With First Love Caitlin Beadles--Will Selena Gomez Panic?

Justin Bieber recently had a fun "play date" with his ex-girlfriend and first love, Caitlin Beadles. His current girlfriend, Selena Gomez, was not invited. The immediate question is: Did the Monte Carlo star know that JB and his long-ago, long-time love intended to reconnect? If she didn't, she surely knows now. The inevitable question is: Is this the beginning of the end for Jelena?

It had to happen sometime. When Justin Bieber recently re-opened communication with his long-time boyhood BFF, Christian Beadles, Beliebers everywhere wondered how much time would elapse before JB reunited with Christian's older sister, Caitlin. Who just happens to be the Biebs' first serious girlfriend. Well, that time came earlier this week, when JB and his comely ex-GF met up for a fun Go Karting "play date." Should Selena Gomez panic? Probably not. It all seemed innocent enough, and Caitlin's Tweets about her afternoon with her now-famous ex made it seem less like a date than a group outing.

"@LordBieber: Gokarts with @LittlecBeadles @godsgirl8494 @justinbieber @officialjaden This [sic] youngsters can drive — you were the pro!!" Caitlin tweeted.

Afterwards, she tweeted: "Ahh, just finished Go Karting uhmmm @LordBieber and @JustinBieber sideswiped me and I crashed into the wall, LOL, so scary but fun! LOL"

Seriously, how could anything untoward have occurred between Caitlin and the Biebs with Christian, Jaden Smith and others present? On the other hand, as all long-time true Beliebers know, things were pretty hot and heavy between Justin Bieber and Caitlin Beadles back in the day. Their romance, which you can read up on by clicking here, included a romantic Bahamas vacation last summer. In 2009, Justin immediately flew to Caitlin's bedside when she was injured in a boating accident. He even serenaded her onstage at an Atlanta concert after she recovered. In those days, Caitlin tweeted a more amorous tune:

"I hate when you have to leave," she wrote after a visit from JB. "It's like half of me is gone. I miss you already!"

Hmm.

If seeing his ex meant nothing and Justin Bieber now considers Caitlin Beadles an old friend like her brother, why didn't he bring Selena Gomez along? It's possible, of course, that Selena had commitments elsewhere. Or perhaps it was an impromptu outing, and there wasn't time to round up everybody. Or maybe, he just wanted to avoid a potentially awkward situation. Anything is possible. Which is why Selena Gomez should perhaps be on her guard. Right now, Jelena seems rock solid and impenetrable. Still, feelings are ephemeral. And yet, some old emotions die hard. It is illogical, but true.
