Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber among O Music Award nominees

Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber and Nirvana are among the musicians up for O Music Awards.

The second O Awards, which are MTV's digital music accolades, will be held on October 31st and will aim to reward those celebs who have made their presence known online as well as in the music studio.

Categories include Oops I Did It Online, which rewards celebs for their over-sharing, and Best Artist with a Cameraphone for snap happy celebs.

Lady Gaga's two nominations are in the Fan Army category, where she'll face other stars with super dedicated fans including Bieber, Taylor Swift and Nicki Minaj, and Must Follow Artist.

She's definitely a strong contender for the latter, boasting almost 14 million followers. If she does take home a trophy, Gaga will be adding to the two she picked up at the inaugural awards last year for Most Innovative Artist and Must Follow Artist on Twitter.

Aside from the gongs for musicians there are also awards for Most Innovative Festival, Best Music App, Best Music Hack, Beyond the Blog and Most Addictive Social Music Service.

Other previous winners include Kanye West for Best Tweet and MJJ Fan Community for Best Fan Forum.

For Justin Bieber fans eager to make his acquaintance you should know the MTV VMA winner is headed back to Georgia this month, and you can have a seat front and center for that appearance. Currently Bieber is in Canada during America's Labor Day weekend, visiting his grandparents (and this just in...climbing mountains). You can see a photo here, from Justin's Instagram.

Justin Bieber is headed back to Georgia in September to honor his musical mentor "Mama Jan" during an awards ceremony.
His lady love Selena Gomez is busy wowing her fans in Colorado, where she is performing to sold-out crowds. But in two weeks the boy wonder will be back in Georgia to honor his voice coach -- and Justin's Atlanta mom -- Jan Smith.

Justin Bieber wins Best Male Video for U Smile

In Every year, the MTV Video Music Awards can be the craziest night in music with the events as unpredictable as the fashion.  In 2010, Lady Gaga took home a slew of moonmen and wore her famous meat dress.  This year, it was Beyonce who made headlines when she walked the carpet sporting a baby bump.  Watching the VMAs live, we were standing by to bring you all of the 2011 VMA action!

Twitter was buzzing with pre-show VMA tweets, including #whatwillgagawear, Wiz [Khalifa] and Amber [Rose], Beyonce and Demi Lovato trending.
First to show up was the cast of the Jersey Shore.  Snooki played it safe with her dress selection while Deena rocked an over-the-top rainbow dress.
Cobra Starship gave a spot on performance of “You Make Me Feel” with hot up-and-comer, Sabi.  Justin Bieber sported glasses and red pants when he was interviewed by his girlfriend and pre-show host Selena Gomez.  Of course, he planted a kiss on her cheek, making the Beliebers of the world jealous.  Selena looked star struck when she spoke to Britney Spears, who wore basic black.

Katy Perry, who had 10 nominations, had pink hair and seemed to be picking up some of Russell Brand's British accent.
In an obvious move to rekindle Kim K and Biebs controversy, newlywed Kim Kardashian gave the award for Best Male Video to Justin Bieber for "U Smile."
Kim could barely walk in her tight dress, but was glowing in her post-wedding bliss.  Joe Jonas won the award for weirdest haircut when he introduced Chris Brown's energetic performance, which was easily the best of the night.

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez Seated Together at VMAs

It's official now. Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez will be seated together on Sunday evening at MTV's Video Music Awards. Fans of the handsome couple will likely watch the show just to catch a glimpse of the two sweethearts together.
According to a report from Hollywood Life, word of this Sunday's seating chart broke earlier in the day on Friday and it's a fact that Selena and Justin are definitely seated next to one another.

Above you see the part of the seating chart sporting Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez's pictures. Of course they'll each look way better than they do in these photos. They'll undoubtedly be dressed to the nines and looking positively radiant in some of the latest fashion trends. Selena usually opts for something sparkly and feminine while Justin opts for a laid back look with dressed up elements. It's always fun to see what they decide to wear.
Justin Bieber has been nominated for a Video Music Award, and Selena Gomez is serving as one of the many presenters. Wouldn't it be fun for fans to see Selena present Justin with his award if he wins?
Sources speculate that since Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez are known for displaying a lot of PDA, and have done so at previous awards shows, it's likely that fans will get a hearty dose at the MTV VMAs as well.
Will you be watching the MTV Video Music Awards? Are you hoping to catch a glimpse of Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez while they're sitting together? The cameras will undoubtedly be focused on them frequently, so there's no doubt that fans will be able to get their fill.

Justin Bieber's VMA-Nominated 'U Smile': Frame By Frame

'We took a more mature approach in the video, focusing on him as an artist,' director Colin Tilley says of clip, which is up for Best Male Video.
In the Colin Tilley-directed "U Smile" video, Justin Bieber meets some girls on the street and becomes smitten with one of them. He then takes her to hang out with him at a big concert hall, where he makes her swoon by playing the piano for her.
The sugary-sweet clip is up for Best Male Video at the 2011 Video Music Awards, and Tilley, who also worked with Bieber on "Never Let You Go," spoke to MTV News about the behind-the-scenes of making the video just days before the VMAs go live Sunday.
The video opens with Bieber meeting some fans outside a theater, and the Flip cam footage they used for audio ended up making the final cut. "During this scene, we were only outside for 15 minutes, but literally paparazzi were everywhere," Tilley recalled. "It was pretty difficult, but I'm happy with the finished product. This whole intro scene was actually done very fast, because we didn't have much time before the sun set, so we really just had to go full-throttle."

<
While paparazzi and nature proved to be obstacles, a third was making sure that Tilley cast the perfect leading lady. "The girl's gotta be really great ... she was really nice and she did a great job," he said. "Justin and her clicked really well."
The video is actually pretty simple, with the focus of it being on "our classic piano in this beautiful theater, lots of great lighting. This is pretty much focused on Justin's performance.
"This song, in general, when I first heard it, I kind of got the feel that it was a more mature feel for Justin," Tilley continued. "So we took a more mature approach in the video, focusing on him as an artist and as a kid growing up. ... For me, this was kind of the place he goes every night to practice, so he was willing to take this girl he saw on the street and take her into his world."
For Tilley, the standout shots are of Bieber hanging out in an alleyway, calling to mind the images in Michael Jackson videos. "This is probably my favorite setup in the video," he said. "In this alleyway, it had a whole Michael Jackson feel. It was pretty iconic for Justin at the time."
As it turns out, the video was shot right after the 2010 VMAs, when Bieber took home his first-ever Moonman. "The night before, he had won an award and he just came to set with a great attitude; he was super positive," Tilley said. "I hadn't worked with Justin for probably a year. He's so much fun to work with. He's got a really cool attitude on set."
The 28th annual MTV Video Music Awards will air live Sunday, August 28, from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles at 9 p.m. ET/PT, following the Selena Gomez-hosted pre-show at 8. See the list of nominees, revisit last year's highlights and vote for Best New Artist by visiting VMA.MTV.com.

Justin Bieber Leads Top Celebrity Winners at 2011 Do Something Awards

Justin Bieber leads Hollywood celebrities honored at the 2011 Do Something Awards held in Los Angeles, California, Sunday, Aug. 14, 2011.

The Canada’s teen sensation has been recognized for making not just one but millions “less lonely girls” (and surely some teen boys) for his music.
At Sunday’s award’s night, the 17-year-old Hollywood sensation received the Best Music Artist statue for making such a great impact on his millions of tween fans.
But the tween sensation surely is recognized not only for his music but equally important, for his philanthropic efforts. It will be recalled that in February this year, Justin cut his hair and gave a lock to TV host, Ellen DeGeneres for any charity of her own choice. It was sold at $40,668!
Justin Bieber is among the first celebrity stars to raise funds for the devastating twin disaster in Japan and would insist on flying to the country despite his crew’s protest.
But it was not only Biebs who was honored at this year’s Do Something Awards hosted by Jane Lynch.
Other celebrities honored for their causes include star athlete, David Beckham and “Cowboys and Aliens” star, Olivia Wilde. The 2011 Do Something Awards will be aired on VH1 on Thusday, Aug.18, 2011.

Sizzling Hot Athlete Celebrities at ESPY Awards 2011

Wednesday night saw the Dallas Mavericks and their star player Dirk Nowitzki take home top Excellence in Sports Performance Yearly Award (ESPY), capping a year that saw them become improbable champions.

The Mavericks, who won the National Basketball Association championship over a Miami Heat team filled with superstars, including LeBron James and Dwayne Wade, won the Espy for best team and Nowitzki was named best male athlete, reported Reuters.

"If this Dallas Mavericks team proved anything, it's that good guys do win and can win and will win," said team owner Mark Cuban on stage accepting the team honor.

Accepting his award for best male athlete, German-born Nowitzki acknowledged the uncomfortable scene at the awards saying he would like to thank Cuban, but couldn't "since I can't talk to him."

Olympic and World Cup champion skier Lindsey Vonn picked up the trophy for best female athlete for the second straight year. Like others, she thanked numerous people, but then Vonn looked at pop star Justin Bieber in the audience and asked "will you take a picture with me for my Facebook page."

Bieber laughed and nodded yes, said the report.

Check out the pictures of the sizzling hot athletes as they appear for the awards function.

Justin Bieber to Present at 2011 Espy Awards

The ESPYs, which air tomorrow night on ESPN at 9PM ET, will be dominated by the Justins of the entertainment world — Timberlake and Bieber, that is. While JT filmed a promo spot for the Capital One Cup award that he will be on hand to present, the Biebs issued a tweet letting his fans know that he will also be on site to present an award.

Bieber tweeted this message: “might have to stop by the @espys on wed in LA….who wants to meet me at the red carpet…maybe i will give 2 of my tickets away.” That sounds like an invitation, Beliebers!

Additionally, the official Twitter account of the ESPYs posted the good news, further generating hype and excitement for the ceremony: “Breaking #ESPYs News: @justinbieber will be presenting an #ESPYs award on Wednesday night! #awwwesome.”

It was not revealed which ESPY Bieber will hand out, but we’re sure the fact that he will appear on the show will cause a gaggle of pre-teen girls to tune in, spiking the show’s ratings and skewing the demographics in an unconventional way. It’s not like the show is targeting females, 12-16, but with the Biebs making an appearance, that could all change … For a few moments, at least.

Tune in tomorrow night at 9PM ET to watch Timberlake and Bieber surrounded by some of your favorite athletes.
